This week I have had the opportunity to be introduced to William Faulkner. In class we have started reading one of his greatest works, The Sound and Fury. I have been able to read the first chapter of the book and I was able to begin my journey into Faulkner. The first chapter was an introduction to the story and the character of the book. We are able to meet one of the main characters of the book Benjy , a handicapped 33 year old at the beginning of the book. Benji's life is kind of a nightmare with discrimination against due to his handicap. This chapter begins the story and journey that we begin with Benji and the rest of the characters.
